At dotjock we have certified Agile/SCRUM SDLC evangelists.  In addition to SCRUM we also have training and experience in KANBAN methodologies and we're certain they they can be put to positive use to not only maximize team productivity and lend predictability to the often unpredictable science of software engineering; we also have a unique perspective in making certain that this engineering approach maintains team engagement and leads individual team members away from burnout.

All too often the demands of software development can lead engineers towards professional burnout whether its from the daily grind of software engineering or from the taxing nature of interacting with other areas of the business.  The goal of methodology implementation is not only to produce a favorable outcome from the project stakeholders but also maximize the individual contributors enjoyment and fulfillment in the work that they do.   With all the talk of maintaining a successful work/life balance, there is no escaping that a professional engineer's life is often largely consumed by the duties they perform for a living.

In order to maintain this healthy work/life balance it is critical to focus on individual contributor's fulfillment and satisfaction in the work that they perform on a daily basis.  One of the key contributions that we offer is with team building and maintenance of that high performing team.
